Would you like a career in aviation? We can help you get there.
Dehcho Regional Helicopters and its Limited Partners are committed to increasing Indigenous participation and leadership in the aviation industry. Thanks to a partnership agreement with Air Tindi, a percentage of the net profit on all scheduled flights between Yellowknife and Fort Simpson funds our scholarships.
These scholarships are available to the beneficiaries of our Limited Partners including Acho Dene Koe, Jean Marie River, Liidlii Kue, Pehdzeh Ki and Sambaa K’e First Nations, the Fort Simpson Metis Nation and the Nahanni Butte Dene Band. The scholarships are just one of the ways that Dehcho Regional Helicopters is reinvesting in the region.
Investing in tomorrow’s aviation leaders today!

($30,000)
One yearly $30,000 scholarship for a student enrolled in an accredited fixed-wing or helicopter pilot program.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Scholarship
($3000x 7)
Seven yearly scholarships each worth $3,000. In addition, our partner Great Slave Helicopters offers an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprenticeship Program with both a pre-course practicum and a post-court apprenticeship.
Aviation Support Services Scholarship
($1500 x 2)
Recognizing that there are a wide range of aviation-related occupations that don’t involve flying or maintaining an aircraft, we offer two yearly scholarships each worth $1,500 to promote non-operational careers in the aviation industry. Fields of study can include accounting, logistics, human resources, business management, sales and marketing.
